ABOUT THE FILM
Scorpion is a short film by filmmaker Eric Demeusy. It takes place during the 1930's and is centered around two criminals who are part of a highly sought after mob crew. The story begin when the two criminals meet in their upscale common room to discuss the previous nights events that left the rest of their crew dead. What starts off as a calm and collected conversion, ends in something no one saw coming.
Scorpion is an original story that was penned by Demeusy in late 2012. It is a character based story that takes place in one room. Two sides of a story are told from two different perspectives until ultimately revealing the truth in something unexpected. The story was something special and would ultimately make the leap from page to screen.
Scorpion was filmed at a single location in South Pasadena, CA. Demeusy immediately went into the editing room where he spent countless hours cutting the film. He brought on former music composer Shawn Lyon to tackle the music. Soon after, Nathan Ruyle of This is Sound Design came on board for sound design and mixing. Finally the picture was brought to LA based DI house Light Iron for color finishing.
